I've listened to New Order for most of my life. Ever since beginning this project I've tried to come up with some clever drawings for their albums but never quite cracked it.
Every time (see examples below), I've played with the idea of a new order to different things, like the number of characters on some of their album art (as in the Substance drawing, below) or new orders for letters, numbers and colours of the rainbow (as in the Singles drawing, below).
My son wisely wrote that he was not interested in drawing the title of a 2019 live album from New Order that began with a title that read vaguely like a maths equation. His is probably the best of this group of drawings.
I finally gave up trying to think of something clever myself, and just tried to recreate their Power, Corruption and Lies album art.
